How do you Check the Trans Fluid???
Yep you have to stick your little finger in there and wiggle around and see if you feel any fluid. Thanks for reminding me that I need to do that to my leaking rear differential.
Cool! So there should be no need for top-ups! Er, where is this little fill hole, anyhow?
This is my first Audi. I normally always buy the manufacturer's workshop manual, which should give me more information than I should ever need, but the manual doesn't look as if it's available. Certainly, the salesman poo-pooed the idea (of getting the manual), since the first 50,000 miles of maintenance are fully covered by Audi.

Particularly for congested city or suburban driving, changing the ATF at least every 60k mi = 100k km is sound preventive maintenance, even though many dealerships won't touch the transmission.
The fill hole is on the bottom of the transmission. The ATF fluid has to be checked with the car level and the fluid at a particular temperature. It is hard to get it right without a VAGCOM and a lift to keep the car level.
