How to stop ABS light? Need help please!
I have a 1998 Audi A4 4 door 1.8 T Quattro and the ABS light stays on as well as the flashing brake light.
I had it checked out and was told it was the abs speed sensor.
How can I make the dash lights for the ABS and Brake to stop flashing? I need to get the car inspected and they will not pass it if either of these lights is on the dash.
Please help me out with this if anybody knows how to do it. If somebody could give me some specific instructions on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

It kind of sounds like you are looking for an alternative to having your abs sensors fixed... pull the bulbs. Um instructions... remove instrument cluster and remove bulbs just like normal lights. Now morally it is corrupt to do that. Replacing the sensor that is out is just pulling out the old sensor and putting in the new one. But the speed sensor will cost 160 dollars.

Wait they are LEDs?
Dang it, because mine have been on for so long my Antilock light burnt out and I was hoping to replace it someday... Someone told me it was a bulb.
Oh well. Usually just cleaning the sensors won't work if it is really cooked. You will have to see. It isn't too tough if it is cooked though, just the cost of a stupid magnet with a couple wires.
