i got my new clutch and WFT

Default i got my new clutch and WFT

so i got my car back today i put a stage 3 south bend clutch. the clutch works amazing but heres my problem. my stick feels a lot looser and move side to side about2 incheswhen i put it in gear. it wasnt like that when i brought it in and the guy who did the clutch says "i think thats right." So what do i need to replace?

good choice on the south bend clutch man, i got the same one installed with a lightweight flywheel. Sounds like they might have not put the pin in your shifter back in. Meaning, there is a pin that holds your shifter to the trans together and it might be falling out. You can check by taking the shift boot apart and looking inside.

pull the shift boot off and look at the linkage. All the bars you see should not have any play in them. The nuts on the linkage should be really tight because from the factory they come with lock tight.

Just got my 1.8t a4 1998. And I've noticed that my stick also moves very freely while in gears... Is that a bad sign??
