I think its blown....
we hydrolocked a d series in a civic once... yeah... that was definately one of the most fun destroying an engine i've ever had. it was intentional, because we had a swap waiting to go in it. Nitrous is always fun for blowing engines before swaps too!
Thats very bad that your filter was wet... and is probably the cause of the flashing cel and rough operation. what do you have between the holes in your fenderwell and your air box? Use a screen?? How big are the holes you cut out in the fenderwell??
3/4 inch drill bit holes, and I have 2 screens overlaying eachother... If that is the reason, then it was prolly just luck that it happen to get in there if no one else had the problem.. but my filter definatly was wet...
We need pics of your box mod. The filter being wet is not good but not the problem however we need some pix. Then run the codes. Are you running a K&N filter? I just drove 6 hrs on snow covered freeway with tons of water and am going to check my filter again. BUT in 20,000 (yes 20K in 8 months) I have never not once had an issue with water BUT I'll check again.
Sorry man I feel for you........I do but, I don't know why it happened. I drove through hell today water, snow, freeway puddles, and all kinds of other stuff. Not one drop of water and the filter is dry.......I just don't get it man?????? I have been loging this intake for 20K miles with no problems and even snow, slush and rain today.........[&o]
