I never heard that oil'd filters mess up MAF's before...
Ya its very common.
I may be wrong but, I think the oil problem is due to the fact that people tend to over do it when the re-oil the filter.......NOT K&N

Just took it out, not that it should look like something is wrong, but it looks alright.. I'm trying to find a place that has them in stock.. I need to get to work. Do you think cleaning the MAF would help or would I need a brand new one?

Replaced the sensor, cleaned the MAF... Changed the coilpack... but found when I took out my spark plugs they are all carboned except for cyclinder 2 which is perfect.. has rawl gas on it like it isn't even firing..... started it with the changed coilpack and still no fire in cyclinder 2...
any ideas now?

Bad plugs? Checking misfires usually starts with the packs, then the plugs, then MAF.........

I had a bad head gasket causing my misfire in Cyl 2 and 3, but it sounds like you could have a fouled plug possibly causedby bad/dirty MAF.

A boost leak can cause you to run rich and missfire.. Check around.

No spark in cyl 2 usually means bad ICM. Especially if you swap coil packs, and the misfire stays in cyl #2. Replace the ICM. Maybe moisture made its way up there, its on top of the airbox.

Funny, everyone was rippin me the other night cuase I said in my opinion this mod was worthless and risky. I'm glad my airbox is stock except for the filter.

Good luck!

spark plug wire might be bad. had one go out in my eclpise. started to shudder under heavy load. like when i went up a hill. later it shudderd all the time. then misfires. dealership in fl said the entire ignition system needed to be replaced. did not trust them. first thing i checked was the wires. shure enough one had no continuity or resistance. dealership crooks! good thing my friend had a flatbedtowing service. if i had to pay 2 way towing that dealership would be a pile of ashes right now.

Yeah but would a boost leak make the second cyclinder completely not spark? Thank you acetrebo I guess thats the next test.
