Default imobiliser problems

I have recently purchased a A4T SPORT she runs like a dream and goes like one too,but occasionally when she has been running for a while and i stop,i have problems on restart. She will run for a second or so then stop. This happens 2 or 3 times with me waiting 30 seconds or so between start attempts, then shes off again and running like a dream.According to the owners manual it points to a immobiliser fault, but if that was so would she be reluctant at all to start, and why does this not occur with a cold engine

at times the imobliser light flashes constantly, the one with the car and key symbol. Then at other times it starts and the same light goes out straight away. That is the only instrument light that shows up.

Flashing key indicates an immobilizer problem. Find someone with a VAG-COM, or take it to a dealer to get the key reprogrammed.
