if chipped should you use cruisecontrol????
well i was on 295 yesterday and decided to use my cruise control. well i had to slow down, while i was holding the set button my EPC and the CHECK ENGINE light flashed like i was settingup the chip so i freaked out and turned the cruisecontroll off. but the car went back to stock again which was like havin no power. i had to pull to the side of the road then setup the chip over again. Why did it do that any ideas?
I assume you have a B5. Holding down SET activates the program configuration on the APR chips. If program #1 is stock, you switched to that when the lights started flashing. If you have the security lockout option you can use that to prevent changing mode. If not, you can press Set repeatedly to decelerate instead of holding it down, or tap the brakes and then reset at a lower speed.
If you have a B6, you push the stalk down to decelerate, rather than using the set button.
