Alright cool, so the CEL won't come back on after I reattach the clamp back on? Does the turbo have a seperate oil tank?

 

i think it will reset after 100 miles, but i might be wrong...just do it right before you take it in...

Oh also, if i were to remove the clamp, would it throw a different code than it would if the broken turbo caused the CEL to come on?

so wait a minute, im replacing my turbo with a k04 and the old turbo is blowing oil all in my intercooler piping cause there is a quarter inch of shaft play. and there is a huge crack on the exhaust side of the turbo, i also have a 99.5 u think they will give me a new k3

 

black99, if you're under warranty they should....

 

warrenty? i gots a 99.5 with over a 100k i dont think any warrenty left

 

yea, youre SOL then, sorry bud...jblum's on the 7-year warranty, that's the only reason they're covering it for him.
