That was my thinking as well. I think youre right, but Audi said that, since its a 7 yr 70,000 warranty due to california's emmissions laws, the broken component must effect emmissions ratings, I guess. But it doesn't say that anywhere in the manual and it seems to me that if the law made it so that Audi had to warranty these parts, it shouldn't matter if I pass smog, the parts are still broken. But I don't know what to do. If they say its not covered, what can I do?
