I know that there are B5s (well, one, at least) making like 600bhp with a bone-stock transmission. Stasis differentials will make it send more torque to the rear, but they aren't a necessary precaution, more like a "what else can I possibly spend money on" mod. Like, after you've paid off your loan, and still want more, then you buy those Stasis differentials. Not to say I don't want them, but they won't help you avoid breakages or anything. Transmsision is pretty much bulletproof.

With that size turbo, and that much budget, you might as well buy pistons, rod, crank, sleeves, pins, whatever. I mean, your stock engine (not the rods, those are a must) can probably *handle* the power, but whenever you gun it, you'll be worrying about blowing a chunk of block through your fender with that kind of power. Just go all the way. Being thifty is obviously not your first priority.

well i tried trifty a couple of times and it didnt really work out for me.
and most of the time trying to take a shortcut usually ends up costing 2 or 3X more than if you would have went the right way in the first place!
mostlikely gonna spend about 7500 on motor and then the remaining on some subtle mods (if any left over will got to go fast mods)
since the car is black i want to tint windows, Black HID with 6500 bulbs, black out tails and side markers, RS4 body and awe cf vented hood, cf trunk lid, 3" SS exhaust (all custom), CF overlays from LLtek, stage 3 clutch and aluminum flywheel, FMIC, H&R Coilovers and swaybars and 19" ADR M-Sport (HMS Silver) dunno if the 8.5 or the 9.5 im gonna choose, but im sure there will be a rubbing issue with a 9.5" wide rim, maybe 9.5 on rear and 8.5 for the front.

i promise no neon's :P

Now as i always did the motor will be built to my specs and all the work will be done by me
