Def. I understand. Im in the car alot though and always looking for good new music. Ill use it alot plus I can take it out and put it in my dorm. Its def not for everyone. Its just hard to find a good spot for something like that in our cars.

 

I can't wait until I can afford satelite radio... I will use XM though, since I don't need to add anything to my dash... my current deck runs the XM -- I just need to add some box thing, which will just mount to my sub woofer box, and an antenna.

Do you have the 4 spoke steering wheel, you poor soul?

And what do you think of the stations, are the commercial free ones crap?

 

Sirius and XM are both awesome. I've had them both. All of the music stations are commercial free and pretty good. XM is better for rock though.

Peteman187, how many extra instruments/buttons do you have in there?!!

 

I've got XM in mine and found it better reception than my friends sirius radio. Also with XM you dont have anyone talking like the DJ like Sirius has....I just found XM easier better and easier to install

 

Sirius does have a lot more DJ chatter than XM. The only reason I stay with Sirius is the selection of house/trance/techno music. They have twice the stations of XM.

 

I do have a 4 spoke and it sucks My buddy had a sport and was going to sell it so I was gonna swap him, he got his new explorer and wrecked it 2 weeks later. He kept the a4 and I never got the wheel. Sucks soo bad. I do have alot of stuff there Jest. Garage opener, boost gauge, sirius, and my mbc is mounted underneath.

I love the Sirius. I had XM in my AMG but I never used it that often (didn't have the radio on alot). But the Sirius is great. Lots of sport stations if your into them. Djs do get a little annoying but there is enough channels to switch to. I get fine reception hardly ever problems.

 

Its a bit, 'in your face' isn't it? Can't you just get a head unit with one installed?

 

Its not that bad. Its nice cause its all the way over there. Its not in the middle. I like the stock headunit alot, plus I want to take it out and put it in my dorm when school starts. So itll just pop out and I can put the vent back in.
