Default Just want to double check...

Hi all, new member here and after searching through many posts I have 2 questions:

1. All the spark plug threads I can find are in regards to the 1.8t. Is it recommened to go for the copper plugs for the 2.8 also, or is this a 1.8t upgrade only?

2. Also, with regards to the two cats in the 2.8 30v, is there another safe option to replacing them with oem, or will eliminator pipe or high flow cats work without throwing a code? Anyone have success with either?

Thanks for reading, and any help.

as for plugs Id just use the OEM ones, and the cats you can replace them with high flow ones and probably pass emissions or get rid of them and probably not pass

Alright, OEM plugs check.

As for cats, I don't have emissions in my province. So no code problems with atleast high flows for sure then?

Basically, I'm getting rattling and some popping on decel so I'm thinking I've got some nice clogging action going on. So, I'm looking into getting some custom exhaust bent etc, so naturally I want to know what I can actually do.

Thanks.

If you go custom do like high flow cats or no cats, space out the O2 sensors on the rear and do something like true Dual 2.5 ot 2.75 with magnaflow or remus mufflers

Sounds cool. I did see that thread with the true dual magnaflow in the close-together configuration (can't split in the rear because of spare tire well right?)... which is pretty much what I want to do.

Thanks a lot for you help.
