k&n Filter + plugs

grab a k&n filter and give one of these airbox mods a try. i did the first and i am pretty happy with it. oh and to avoid the common maf problems with the k&n's, i let it sit out of its packing for a day and i have had no problems with it.

I did the same thing and didn't see gains of any kind. There is no cheap way to make your car haul ***.

cool! thanks for the info.. The tread patten is very similar between the DS-1/DS-2 so i will buy one and just tape measure it to be sure its close enough in diameter.

Could be the gain was because his plugs were shot. If they were corroded or burned, or gapped incorrectly, and he put in fresh plugs with the proper gapping, I could definitely understand an improvement. As for the intake, it's been beaten to death on here, but basically unless you have a s/c 2.8 or a big turbo setup on a 1.8T, you probably aren't going to gain power - an improved feel is probably just that, the feeling of an improvement.
