the data sheets I provided cover your car "read the how" in fact it covers cars from 1994 to 2001 2.7q from 1997/01 after that year diagnostic tool VAG.COM is required or the dealer

to program other features your key fob has you will need diagnostic equipment regardless of age/type/engine

Hoping you can point me in the right direction. I just went to the Audi dealer to help me get the right remote. I gave them my FCC#, Hella # and all they wanted was my VIN#. to look up the right remote. well non of the #'s on the remote matched the one I have but there like this is the one for your car.
Here are my #'s please help 1998 Audi A4 2.8
FCC# NBG 8137 T
HELLA# 5FA 008 137 30
HLO# 130 959 753 F
CAN# 269 4102 1185 A

Well...screw the dealer...they told me that only one specific remote will work for my car...so i ended up buying
one from them with ALOT OF MONEY...however, i got another used remote from someone from a different yr
and it programmed and worked fine! btw...mine's 97 a4 Q and the other remote i have that works is from a 99 a4...
so u figure it out...:P
