Key programming--Does anyone know the truth
Hmmm...well mate...you need to buy another key first!
And I think the two choices you have are going to the dealer
vs buying an uncut key from ebay (maybe a switch blade,
that way you get a new remote as well) and find some
place other than a dealer where they advertise cutting
Audi/VW keys.

You're very helpful to me.
Nononoonooo...once you get a blank key, you need to get it cut first!
Then you can use both the keys to program your remote.
Look in your yellow pages or smth like that to find where they
can cut these kinds of keys.

And this will work in a year 2002 AUDI A4, right? I heard somewhere that after year 2001 makes, you need a special things-- VAG-COM??? in order to reprogram your remote? Is this true?
MMMM............If somebody have more information on this, it would be great.
Anyway, I think it's still cheaper to buy the remote with blank keys off ebay, and find some place other than the dealer to cut it, and have the dealer to program it.

Ok people post your model year and I will tell you which key to buy on ebay.
2002 Audi's require a key adaption to be done by the dealer. Looking at an hour's labor.
