Kid who bought my car is pissing me off.
I don't know what's wrong with you - why the hell would you even do that? Also, I doubt having two parties simply sign a document means it's legally binding. There has to be more to it than that. Anyway, I don't doubt that you have the higher ground in this. Anyoen can figure out this young kid is buying his first car and wants it to be perfect. We've all been there and I can't blame him. You simply have to remind him the car is a '96 model (11 YEARS OLD) and was clearly sold AS IS. You're covered with the "as is" if it were advertised that way, period.
As for now, your time is money. Don't spend the next 3 months dealing with this just to prove a point. The time you'll spend is going to add up and you'll get peanuts for it. People spend $500 on a hooker for less than an hour of fun (I heard him one night through some thin walls in AC). Don't stress yourself out over it. Believe in kharma and move on. Consider just finding a happy medium ground and let him be a kid.

man i wish someone would do that for me. Im kinda broke but i would make the payments on time but its nothin like when our parents and grand parents were kids. sorry that this has to suck so bad!!!!!
i would repo it and deny taking any payments from him already, i would claim he never made a single payment... really stick it to his little a$s... personally i wouldnt be worried about him vandalizing anything at my house just because NO ONE would think about coming to my house because of dogs, guns, and crazy family... but maybe something you would have to worry about.... sorry to hear your dealing with this garbage though...
that sucks man. i wish you the best of luck. yeah dont file a stolen car report. it will screw the car forever. I would take him to court for the rest of your money if you want to spend your time on it. dont give him any money. but if you do go to court then you will have to give him the wheels too. or have him sign another contract saying that the car is his, give him the title, keep your wheels and sell them for $$$. also say that he can't come after you for any kind of warrenty or anything of that sort.
small claims can be a bitch and honestly in the long run might not be worth the extra stress.. If the kid isn't willing to meet you in the middle then I don't know what to tell you.. Hope that he takes the car out and gets pulled over, cause then you will totally have the upper hand. You will get a call from the cops asking if your car is stolen then you can tell them the story and take him to small claims and he'll look like an ***. Or if he gets into an accident with it.. then you'll have the car back in your hands, so you'll be able to scrap it since there isn't any insurance on it. BONUS!
yeah man thats a hard one... the kids being a deusch bag when you try to be nice, i'd say you got a few choices...
1. just get $200 from him and be done with it.
2. pick up the car, keep it at your house and start trying to sell it untill he gives you the $500, and if you find a seller before he gets you the money then refund him everyhting but the $1000 and sell the car to someone else... it is a crappy situation though for sure.
