The 00-01 a4 ko4 kit from AWE doesnt come with upgraded injectors, are they necessary, or is that just a waste of money to get on the side?

I thought that you would run lean if dont upgrade the injectors and fpr.

 

depends on the boost levels and injector delivery capacity. not neccesayr under correct boost levels and optimum fuel delivery.

 

Wow.... It depends on what tuning (chip)you get. There is a basic k04 file which doesnt require anything but a 5 barfpr, then there are aggressive k04 files (pc16 for 97-99.5, j31 for 00, and hammer for 01) which require injectors, afpr, fmic, and the TT maf housingi believe. Of course all of them require the use of a high flow exhuast.

 

cant do injectors on the k04 without a fmic. by the way that kit comes with a fpr.

 

What additional mods you can do with the k04 turbo all depends on the tuning/flash/chip. fmic, injectors and the rest go hand in hand with the more aggressive k04 flash whether it be pc16, j31, or the hammer file - depending on what yr you have.

 

w/ out a fmic you would heat soak with first spool of the k04 w/ bigger injectors and that much boost
