when i rev my 1.8tq with a 5spd to say 4gs and dump it. it just falls flat on its face. any insight on this problem?

Yeah... because you are launching way over the necessary revs - especially for a quattro. You've probably glazed the clutch, too.

Do a search on this topic. We've discussed it before. In short... keep it below 2500 on a quattro.

Yeah, a few times on a factory clutch and your'e sure to fry it. Has it started to slip yet? If oyu plan on doing that kind of driving, you need a kevlar and/or ceramic clutch. That factory clutch is asbestos and made for smooth starts and shifts, not launching.

well i have never had a clutch go out but have been in one so i dont think it is bc i know the rpms will just rev high real quick.

 

Yeah, 4K is way to high i lauch mine at 3000, but thats because a have a dual plate and lightened flywheel. make sure you practice with the new clutch. start out low. and never hit 4000 rpm.
