i just got weird thing happen on my audi 00 Trip FWD.
when i am on easy drive, slow, mild acceleration. after 3rd gear and rpm going around 1700-2000ish, my car would shake, like limp ride or something. and then after reach 2100ish it would shift to 4th gear and same thing happen tilll 5th gear. I was wondering..on easy drive-no kickdown does transmission would shift to high gear even rpm and going speed around 40-60km/hours. but when I do accelarate and kick down no such thing happen. goes thing smoothly. but sometimes on mild kick down I can feel bit shake on 3rd to 4th gear and after reach 3000rpm smooth.
any idea what was wrong?.
I ask my service advisor in local audi dealer. they say I have bad Torque converter..and must be replaced and was quote around 1200ish to fix it. I search this forum and found some interesting stories and just hope that probably bad sensor or something..since my car symptom bit different. and another thing, sometimes when I put my stick in Park position, it's bit hard to pull back to R or D and got some weird sound like 'cluck'..
I haven't change ATF oil since 10K Km milleage and haven't go to workshop to pull out codes. probably done it next year..
