hey i have an a4 quattro avant 1999 and i am doing a full cleansing if you will of all the fluids, now i have read here on the forum to use only approveds oils but what about for the differential and tranny and brake etc........

please let me hear what you know so i can get the best stuff to take care of my baby, she will be renewed this weekend.

Brakes DOT 4 or DOT4+, not DOT 5

Power steering only Pentosin 11.

Good synthetic gear oil of the proper weight will be fine in transmission, differentials, etc. I don't have the weights handy unfortunately.

Make sure you open the fill hole first. Not good to drain the transmission only to find that the filler is corroded and you can't get it off.
