Gear Lube in ATF???

Gear Lube in ATF???

I know this is a copy of the post from A4 but i really need help.
Will the Automatic Transmision in my A4 2000 will run with grear lube 75w-100

No ideea i took my car to the a shop and they replaced the transmision. We called the audi shop to ask what kind of lube to put in it and they told me 75w-100 Gear Lube. I never heard of that so i was looking for some help. I guess the guy at audi was an idiot.

I'm sure they didn't know it was a shush box. Put Redline D4 ATF or Amsoil Universal ATF in there.

I've never seen 75-100 gear lube.

wow what a mistake using manual tranny fluid in an automatic ( they dont get worse than that ) I feel a claim coming on

...i dunno, maybe, I say MATBE it was teh way he "asked" teh question. Maybe one of teh "recptionists"was manning teh phones, that day?!?!? Maybe he dialed teh WRONG PLANET?!?!?!?
