Hi, i was just wondering if anyknow knows what causes this. when you accelerate to move as your wheel is tilted either to left or right you get this very low pitch knocking noice for a sec or two then it stops as you straighten the wheel sometimes this happens and sometimes it doesnt, does anyone know what this could be from? is it rubbing against something ? Thanks

 

Might be a badcv joint.

 

It sounds like cv axles to me

 

does it sound like when your joints pop if you move the wrong way i.e. knees and elbows??

 

+1 for the CV joint. You should hear a clicking sound only when you're turning, not when you're going straight.

 

Thanks, I wonder if it needs to be replaced very soon or its not that bad? because i try to listen to it everytime turning and it seems like its fine after u drive for couple of minutes

 

i had the same problem on my A4 it was a cv joint....the dealer told me it wasent much of an issue yet but it might get worse...120$$ parts and labor for mine to get replaced
