Lowering Question
OK This is my new 2006 Audi A4 2.0T. I want to lower it but i need to know what springs to use, shocks, how low, and about how much it would cost? From what ive read if u use the factory shocks they will blow out after a few months?
The front is half an inch higher than the rear. 2.75 inch's in the rear and 3.25 inch's in the front.
The rims r 18". 8 wide in the front and 9 in the rear. tires 225-40 front 245-40 rear. planning to change to 235-40 front 255-35 rear when it is time for new tires.
I was thinking it would be nice to lower the front 2 inch's and the rear 1.5 inch's but i doubt that is an option. Also i dont want to spend alot of money.
Thanks

RE: Lowering Question
It can handle 2 in the front 1.5 in the rear. In fact, i'd lower it a little more!) And yes youre correct, you must get new shocks along with springs or bye bye stock shocks! Coilovers are the way to go! adjustable. but you said you dont want to spend a lot of money. Cheapest coilovers will pound you for like 900 iirc.

RE: Lowering Question
here's a picture of mines. before and after..Eibach pro-kit, 1.2" drop all around. Yes your shocks will be gone eventually no matter if its stock or slammed...just a matter of time.
don't want to slam the car caz i m going 18" wheels... and springs just got installed so it should be a bit lower when it settle.
by the way...how do you guys make thumbnails? i m a noob...
