Default lowering question

Alright, Ive got a 99.5 a4 quattro with 18 inch wheels on it. I want to go lower but im stuck between the H&R race springs, or the sport springs. I don't want to rub but I also want it a good bit lower.I amalso upgrading to bilsteins, so don't worry about that. What do you guys think? Sports or Race?

PS. I also have the stock sport suspension right now.

both may make you rub but rolling the fenders is easy.

I thought that the race dropped it a little more. Something like 1.9 in the front compared to 1.5. And how stiff are we talking here. This is a daily driver so I would like to keep my teeth. I just want to make sure that I am going to be happy with the sport drop because it looks like a damn 4x4 right now and Ive had enough of it. Thanks for the responces guys

yea, sorry i just looked it up

h&r race is a 1.9 drop
h&r sport is a 1.4 drop

if your really worried about the ride quality go with the sports

i cant really compare or tell you the difference between them but quite a few people have h&r race and are happy with them

as for rolling the fenders... a hair dryer and a baseball bat is about all you need

If you are worried about rubbing, go with the Sports...the drop is 1.25 front and 1.0 rear....I am pretty sure there are a few peeps on the forums that have the H&R sports and Bilstein Shox w no problems....Theres a pretty good chance you wouldn't rub w Race either, most likely only when you have peeps in the back seat or you **** the wheels all the way over while turning...and the stance would definately be noticeably more aggressive...

If it were me I would go sport....good luck!
