Crap so i get to go through all the hoses and find it? I know how to find a boost leak, will that work for a vac leak to?
Vac leaks can cause "false air" entering the system (air not being metered by the MAF sensor, therefore entering the system after the MAF sensor). You could try letting the engine idle and spraying the hoses and intake components with propane. If you hear the RPM change, there is a good chance that you just found your "false air" source. I had a "rich" condition throwing me into limp mode last fall when I put an over-oiled (right out of the box) K&N air filter. It contaminated my MAF sensor therefore screwing the metering of thereal amount of air entering the system and causing a rich condition.

Hmm... propane huh. That doesn't sound safe. LOL What do you use to spray it on there? Just a torch that isn't lit or something?

Yes, I just unscrewed the nozzle from a propane torch and sprayed it on the hoses and intake components (not lit!!!). Bentleysays to use a leak detector spray but I don't have a cluewhat that is.

Carberator or throttle plate cleaner is what we use at work to find vac. leaks.
