Default Mismatched headlights

Hi guys,
Soon after getting my car I found that one headlight was rather yellow. Got new bulbs and went to change them and found that one was an H7 and one HID.
I think it is safe to asume that the first owner pranged the front corner and got a "cheap" repair.
Ordered an HID unit for that side (arrived broken) and the supplier said I could get the wiring harness with the correct socket from the dealer. Called the dealer and they said the harness was integral with the main harness.
My off time is so limited that I must have everything on hand for repairs before I start. I have not had the time to remove the entire front end of my car in order to find out the truth on this matter.
Need some advise.

Maybe I read your post wrong, but... Advice with what? You seem to be on the right track.

i think he's asking if the headlight wiring harness is a separate piece, or part of the main wiring harness...

fabricator, you don't have to remove your front end to take the headlights out, and the wiring harness you should be able to see just by lifting the hood...

Bent,
You are right, I was just being a smartass. But I couldn't see if the harness was integral or not. The dealer is not so hot and I have been mislead by parts men before. Called Shokan but the person I talked to didn,t seem too keen to chase this one down for me. The service manager at the dealer said that it was impossible to have one of each. (You think you know what your looking at sonny but you don't) He was too busy to let me prove it.
Another question that comes to mind, is there a ballast for each side or one for both? The assembly seems to be just housing and bulbs, no ballast component.

there is a ballast for each side...i believe the removable ballast allows you to use the headlight as either a halogen or an HID
