Hey guys i have a few questions.

My car has around 54k miles. Is it a good idea to mod it at 54k? I will be doing the Timing belt/tensioner/wp/snub mount soon. I am assuming that it will be safe to mod after all of this is fixed. Oh and the control arms are squeeky, so those too.

I am also confused about the Awe K04 kit. It sais it puts out 235hp. Does that amount of HP alltogether? or just the turbo?
sorry if these questions sound silly, i am really new to all of this. please give some advice

the 235 is whp i believe, and yes, that is total hp. modding at 54k is fine, people mod cars with 100k+, so youre good. if you're going to replace your control arms i would definitely get ecs' kit with the HD tie rod ends

 

Ahh i see. Thats alot of money for 235HP. How much does a chip give you? 40-50hp?

I think i read somewehre on here that if its the lower control arms, then audi will do them for me? am i just dreaming or is this true?

it could be crank hp, i really don't know for sure........i have a 96 and i just had my lower control arms replaced (just the fronts) under the service action. if you're getting the ecs kit though it doesn't really matter.

 

Yeah, its actaully 238chp, they advertise 235hp tho, With just the kit, u can run low 14s. When u start adding things, the times drop.

and a chipped s4 has 318hp/382lb-ft of torque, on 93 octane -- plus the s4 gets you a nicer interior, exterior, bigger brakes, better suspension, and a 6 spd... if you can afford the s4, do it.

 

nah i cant afford the S4. this car is already sucking the life out of me. but at least its worth it
