Motor mounts dead?

How do i know if i need new motor mounts? when ever release the clutch after changing a gear i get a little jerky throw from the engine...its really had to have a really smooth switch is it my motor mounts?

I think mounts are the problem. See the post:

When motor mounts fail, they leak a dark purple fluid. Simply remove your belly pan, and inspect the mounts. You'll notice right away if they've gone bad.
We carry an assortment of mounts including some nice upgraded models.

Also if you have changed clutch or it is near dead you may also experience some jerky throw (more common situation is when the clutch slips). Usually it happens when you start driving releasing clutch.
