my girlfriend drives an '03 Jetta WE 1.8T FWD tip and it feels much quicker than my old B6 1.8T. It just felt more responsive and felt like it pulled harder than my A4 despite being a tip and my A4 being 6spd.

 

they are pretty fast little cars, I know of some guys with modded gti's that run 13.5's down the track.

 

unknowna4, what turbo did you have on your a4? It sure as h*ll wasn't stock. A chipped a4 w/ intake, exhaust, downpipe, and dv would still get worked by a chipped wrx.

Bingo, not a chance a stock or chipped a4 would beat a chipped wrx, unless he was driving normal and u didnt know it.

GTIs are fast. He will beat you, especially since you're giving up thirty HP and 350 pounds. Don't embarass yourself. Unless he misses a shift or absolutely purees his tires, you will get beaten.

 

I don't know tom, they might give you a run for your money...lol...

 

Uhh WRX or STi. WRX's are slow stock, faster then a 1.8T but slow none the less.

STi's are a whole different ballgame, that thing is a monster and most people with an A4 that even says they came close to taking one out is lying.
