Default Is my clutch going????

Usually its pretty obvious when a clutch is going but mine only seems to slip in first gear. If I just hold the throttle at 1/4 while taking off and keep it there the rev's will climb and the car won't really go any where, but if i step on the gas more it will take off fine. Also when my A/C is on in third gear from 3,500 to 4,000 rpms the intake goes wah wah wah until is passes over 4,000. I just got the car and don't beat on it at all but somethings not right. Any ideas?

Sounds to me like your clutch is shot man...

Get up to 30 and put it in 5th gear, then put on full throttle. If the revs jump its time for a new clutch.

well i tried the 30 mph into 5th and it didn't slip at all. I'm still not convinced though, today I tried to "see what it could do" and in between gears it seemed to slip a little. Maybe i'm just not used to the all wheel drive or something?

My car is an 00 a4 quattro with 69,000 miles. I have owned it for about a month so far, and am paranoid at every little thing that isn't perfect on it so i wanna fix everything I can to make it nice since i am so picky about it.

Dude, maybe the slave cylinder sticks. Try to release the clutch more at the take off, instead of keeping it in.
When I test drove A6 AWD, manul, it felt that I should have released clutch more. VS the FWD.

i def take it easy on the clutch or it clunks if i just dump the clutch like you would to chirp gears in a fwd car. I think the car is just that slow in 1st, lol, without boost and i'm not used to it. The only problem i really have then is when i get on it and after i shift from 2nd to 3rd it seems like it can't catch up with the shifting, and it slips.
