Default My first VAG-COM reading

Looks like I've got a few issues with the engine codes. Anyone have any idea what these translate into, in terms of what's causing them?

I think most of the alarm codes are from when I hooked up my remote starter, but I am concerned about the first one in that group.

Brake light switch - Implausible Signal
Mt only guess here is the remote starter wire required to be hooked up to the brake light switch, somehow causing this.

First problem is you need to replace your passenger side pre-catalytic converter O2 sensor. That should take care of your o2 problem and cat efficiency.

The 16825 evap code is usually from having a loose gas cap. If it keeps occuring you may need to fix the seal.

Many Automatic Transmission Control Modules will show a DTC 00526 or 17087 that indicates a faulty brake light switch. This can also be ignored and will not appear if you press the brakes once before checking for Fault Codes. Everytime I vag my car i get the same code.

The alarm triggering well speaks for itself. I get the Alarm triggered by Interior Monitoring occasionally. Ignore it.

Oh yeah, if your car is around 70k miles you will probably want to change both the left and right pre cat O2 sensors. They tend to go south at that mileage. You'll get better gas mileage anyways!

THanks for that good info, guys. Since my engine is a 1.8, I only have 1 cat. Better gas mileage sounds good, last check was roughly 26.5. Not bad, but was hoping for a little better than that.
