Need easiest way to disable alarm
The ignition//keys/alarm on a '96 I'm looking at to buy are screwy.
The car is hella cheap and I kknow all the mechanical issues with it and
I'll be able to fix those no problem, but,
the guy has no clue what's wrong with this stuff. It randomly sets
the alarm off, won't start, etc. He said the last time he went to start
drive it, the alarm went off and wouldn't stop.
How can I disarm the alarm so I can get it home across the country?
I want to permanenly disable it until I can work on it at home and
don't want to take any chances with it until I get there.
Pearly.

He says there is no aftermarket alarm.
These do have factory alarms, right?
Is the alarm, just an audio alarm or is
there an ignition disable on them too?
If it's just a horn blasting alarm, maybe
I can just disable the horn somehow?
What's the best/easiest way to do that then?
