because a bov blows the air off into the atmosphear, a dv recirculates it back into the intake, so if u use a bov the maf thinks there is more air than there really is.

 

Ok, well, going to search on the "dv" but as you said, if you use the bov, the MAF (mass air sensor?) sees more air, then more fuel, that won't hurt the engine. Engines run rich to use the fuel as a cooling device. Anything richer than 12.5 is using the extra fuel for cooling. More air means more fuel by the pcm and injectors.

 

dude do whatever u want to....but bov is not reccomended for audi....call any shop they can tell ya..........fyi a good one like evo or forge sounds pretty much the same as a bov.

 

Sorry for my ignorance, i just searched and found my answer regarding the MAF sensor and stuff...You are right, BOV is bad for AUDI. Thanks for the advice!
