new clutch!!!

How much Labor Costs are you guys getting charged? I was told by my Audi Mechanic (Audi Master Certification for 10 Years ) that he would charge me $450 for installation. Sound reasonable?

not necessarly, depending on the geomety of the fingers of the clutch and other things they could theoreticly make it easyer and still get mor grip.

If its easier to push in then stock its not going to grab alot better.

Of course its going to have a better compound, but its the clamping force that really makes the difference. I have about 2000pd force and it wasnt taking the constant track abuse of the ko4.
Good to hear that you got your car back and you like SPEC so far! It seems that some love them, some tend to lean toward Southbend. But the price I paid for my SPEC 2 - I just could not say no. And as for the labor - I got similar quotes, $400-500, that would be a spring time though.
That rs4 clutch from ECS is a B1tch. Its really grabby, but overkill unless you have a BIG turbo. I got it on my lasy Audi and it grabbed great. I just put a spec stg 3 w/ a 6 puck in about a month ago and it feels MUCH better. Lighter pedal feel , VERY grabby. AND compair 550 to 1200 + install charges... ECS makes great products, but You can do better for less money. I live about 10 mins from the shop and am down there at least once a month for parts.[:'(]. Great Guys , Great Products, Very Helpful ,but a little on the steep side for price.
