Default New Question 1.8t

Should a 1.8t chipped run perfectly smooth?

Is it common to have vibration when accelerating?

Yes it should. Thats not common. How violent is the shaking, and is it in any particular area of the car? Does it happen only at certain speeds? If so, you need to balance your tires.

I cant streess this enuff.

I believe this is 2nd or 3rd time I have seen this.

If your car is new... TUNE IT!

Oil Change
Spark Plugs
Balance Tires

When was your Tbelt done last?

Dont waste 600 on a chip if ur do for tbelt in next 3 months. If ur shi** snapps ur f****

Take it easy for at least 30-days. Dont boost alot. My 2 sense i didnt do this to my car I wanted to see if any problems came up. So far nothing so I drive a little more agreessily

Are you getting surging issues? There have been a few threads about it, most recently "A4 The Quattro". Search for it.

If you are having vibration, your car may need to learn the chip a bit more. Also try doing a throttle body adaptation. You can find the instructions by searching.

Yes, slight surging issues. I'll try searching "A4 the quattro" and throttle body adaption alot to do after chipping. I thought i would just get it and be on my way! In my previous posts I thought maybe this was just common issue.

Would it take weeks to adjust to the chip?
