Newb Question: B8?
Hi all,
I'm considering getting an A4 sometime within the next two years and I was wondering if there was any info on when the B8 platform would be released.
The reviews I've read regarding the B7 A4 haven't been as impressive as I had hoped for and I'm hoping for more improvement in the B8. Right now I'm considering the BMW 3 and the Lexus IS as well.
Any help you guys could provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the welcome.
I know the B7 was released not long ago, but I've read some reviews about how the B7 is like a "half redesign" and that the B8 redesign would be more significant.
I just assumed the B7 was more of a big facelift and I guess I thought the B8 wouldn't be too far off. Are we talking like 3+ years away then?
As for what I didn't find impressive, I guess I just like the IS' power and BMW's handling. And I don't know if you've heard, but strong rumors indicate that BMW will release a 300+hp version of the new e90 3 series starting late this year. Which makes me think I'll probably go for the BMW.
I had just hoped for more power from the Audi so that I can ignore the IS. If the IS boasts its power and the 3 boasts its handling, what would you say sets the A4 apart?
