hey guys,
i just got a used 1999 a4 a couple days back.
First thing I noticed was that the base had a rattle. so i did some searching and realized all I had to to was reglue the dust cap.

But today, I was just watching the dash and under the odometer/tachometer, there was a little light that blinked "Service Inspc" or something along those lines.

What i'm wondering is, could unplugging and replugging in the rear window brake light cause this? because i did that when i went in to access the rear sub.

If not, what does this mean and what could have caused it?

it means you need to take it to the dealer for service(very 3,000 miles for oil change) - go to audidiy.com and find the service reset procedure
