NOT LOWERING but RAISING it??

Yes, I know this sounds crazy — but drastic environments require drastic measures: Where I live, every 3 blocks there are speedbumps....
And their Mount Everest-like dimensions are as hazardous to your splitter &amp as snowstorms at 29,000ft.
And the potholes rival the depth of the Grand Canyon (not much tourism, though).
Welcome to my new home — Lima, Peru, where 9 million people have to put up with these anti-tuning politics.

QUESTION: For the above reasons, I'm thinking of not lowering my car, but instead putting tall tires on.
What is the biggest diameter that will fit my fenders (stock suspension)?
I'm new at this! What thoughts and recommendations do you have?

I'm new at this — trying to learn. And I need to figure out, how to say all these things in Spanish, cause thats what my mechanic speaks!

If you decrease your wheel rim size (17 or 18 most likely) then you can put tires with beiiger sidewalls on to "cushion" the ride more. It will affect handling which I am guessing you really don't care about. I think you should be able to google for a tire diameter calculator to figure out what sizes will fit and keep your speedo as close to accurate as possible.

Yeah, I found the tire diameter calculators. They help some . The most helpful I found are:
Online Wheel and Tyre Fitment Calculator. Offset, Tyre Stretch and Speedo Error | Will They Fit
and
Tire Size Calculator

Sure, by reducing the wheel rim, I can then increase the tire sidewall. But that leaves the diameter of the whole thing still the same. I want the tire/rim assembly to be taller/ have a larger diameter.

So, that's the QUESTION: What is the tallest tire diameter that fits into the wheel well of an Audi A4 (B6, 2002), 3.0L FWD, stock suspension -- without rubbing on bumps and dips?

Now that is a tough question. I am guessing not much bigger as things are pretty tight in the wheel well already. Might be able to take it up a diameter or two.
