My check engine light came on. Brought it to a friends shop and hooked her up. Code came back
as BANK 2 SENSOR 1. Does any one know where this is located? From what I am told there are several
O2 sensors on this model. 98 A4 quattro.

That would be the pre cat sensor located on the Passenger side. You should be able to see it sticking out of the exhaust just after the exhaust manifold. You can rent the O2 sensor socket from Autozone for free if you want.

Yep let us know if you have any other questions. You might consider changing both sides at the same time. You'll get better gas mileage too!
