Hey all, my check engine light came on about 2-3 weeks ago before I came back to school. I had a local shop check it and they said it was the O2 sensor. Today when I stopped at a stoplight it had a jumpy idle and then stalled 3 different times. Does that really sound like the O2 sensor? What else could it be? Thanks all.

 

only guessing without a fault code but yes the O2 sensor could cause that plus lots of other things

 

could be the MAF or TBA also...

 

Try cleaning your MAF.

 

If they checked the codes for you hopfully they cleared them - check the codes again and verify that its the same code.

 

And post the number here. Doesn't sound like an oxygen sensor

 

that is what i replaced whenmy carwas doing the same thing
