Default Which O2 Sensor to use ?

I am about to emark on a DIY for the replacement of my oxygen sensors (both of them). Looks like I can buyone of two kinds:

1) Generic Sensor (e.g. BOSCH) wihout the plugs for about $30-$40 each. The description says it's easy to install but requiresslicing into the existing plug.

2) What I call"plug and play" i.e. full replacement with the connectors for about $108-137 each.

Considering the price difference, I am wondering what you guys recommend? It's for a 2000 Audi A4 (i.e. fairly old)which is whyI'm leaning to option #2 to avoid getting connector issues later on due to them failing of age.

I also read on the forumabout a VW Sensor that works for the ATW enginge (which is what I have) for $22 but I couldn't locate it at any of the online parts warehouses. Do they come with the plug?

Thanks for your help!
