Oil Change 1.8T
I just did my oil and I used the M1-301
That's a good filter for off the shelf in a common parts store.
For the time beingI'm simply using the Valovline 10-40 Durablend until I can address a small leak then I going Amsoil or Royal Purple.

Or any 502.00 oil really. Personally, I use Pentosynth 5w40 in the A4 and Valvoline Synpower 5w40 in the Passat, both 1.8Ts. Why two different oils? I don't change the oil myself in the Audi yet, my wife doesn't do cool downs and want to have a good service history should sludge come a knockin'. My Passat get the propercool downperiods and lots o' attention from me. There are a lot of online vendors to getfiltersfrom. WorldImpex (my fav and like 5 mins away from me) Germanautoparts.com to name a couple. Mann Filter 940/25 I thkn it is. The larger Purolator at the "chain" AP stores is nothing but a rebranded Mann anyways.
To each their own really. Just make sure its synthetic and you have a nice BIG oil filter. I use a Mobil 1 European Forumla 0W-40 in my b5 a4 1.8t with a Mobil 1 oil filter. Honestly, I think Mobil One is the best I've tried. Heard really good stuff about Castrol Syntec and Royal Purple, I think the next oil change ill use some Castrol, just to see.
