OIL Consumption
Mine does not consume any noticable oil at all.
But, I dont have 156k on it either. Still, sounds like a problem to me. Got to be a leak somewhere, either a gasket, or you are getting blow-by on the rings.
Try a compression test, and maybe some oil for high mileage engines that has a seal conditioner in it.

Update on the oil..
Thanks for the tips guys. I ran into my mechanic the other day and he informed me that when the dipstick reads nearly dry there is still plenty of oil in the engine. I was under the impression that the dipstick read all 5 or 6 quarts not just 1 quart. By the way, my engine compartment is very clean. No leakage just burns a quart every few thousand like normal. So i'm feeling good about the oil how about my radiator? Is this a really complex job? Or something i could do with a repair manual and basic tools? Anyone replaced their radiator that has tips?

Probably should remove bumper for easier access, its an easy DIY, if you have a bently or haynes that will help. Otherwise, read the beginning of a t-belt change write-up, removal of the rad is part of that process.
Thanks for the link! One more question on the radiator. Which radiators should i be looking at? Are some going to last longer than others? Perform better? Prices on generic auto suppliers are around $170 to $200, what about the nameless radiators on ebay "brand new" for $100? Thanks again!
