Hi im new to the forum an dthis is my first post, i was wondering if anyone could shed some light please.


Noticed oil all over the splash gaurds on front and rear passenger side wheel arches, any one else had this problem before?

On a very quick inspection there is no oil leaks with in the engine bay or on the back of the splash gaurds and no oil on the passenger side sill either. not checked any other fluid levels.

the oil smells more like engine oil rather than p.a.s fluid (but again will have a double check )

with out further investigation which when i get time i will have a proper look, im not sure if there is a problem, as today i did drive down a back street where there are local garages and maybe i went into a puddle of oil which would explain oil in the front and rear arches and not along the sills from what i can see froma very quick look this after noon. think im grasping a straws with the puddle of oil.

any one thats had or having similar issues feedback would be much appreciated. i have a Audi A4 1.8 se 2000 model manual
