Default oil presure

When ever I go into the mountians going up a pass, the last 2 times. the oil pressure light comes on for about 10 seconds then goes off, I have full oil. what could this mean, if it is just the oil pressure sensor, are thoes expensive? and are they hard to put in?
is this a common problem?
Thanks

What year, engine? If you have a 1.8t you probably have sludge. How often/where do you do your oil changes? Do you have a warranty?

Looks like you have a good service record in your ownership. What brand oil are you using (just curious)? I would say either
1) your engine is starved for oil pressure at some point or...
2) your pressure sender is on the fritz.

Only way to be sure is have a gauge hooked up to check your oil pressure. It would be a good idea to run an AutoRX treatment. I did one and I was pleased with the results, although i had no pressure issues.

How'd your engine get flodded?
