has anyone had a problem with the oil temp gauge working normally around 200 degrees then just randomly go back to the 150 resting point like its not working then back to 200 again and stays....had the same problem with coolent temp gauge but replaced the thermostat and it stopped... anyone had this happen?

 

mine did some wierd stuff like that but it just quit working all together now

 

Nope mine hasnt done that before. Could be slowly dieing.

 

ah.... its weird...works sometimes.. but i will just go to a wrecking yard and see if i can score a whole new sensor just incase....could be a bad gauge in the cluster maybe. oh well if anything i will just get some aftermarket gauges and do it that way.

 

Don't get one from a junkyard, you may be picking up another bad one. Just buy a new one they aren't that expensive.

 

yeah your more then likely right...i will check how much they are tomorrow....just figuring it was expensive since it is for an audi...was a previous honda owner where everything was cheap. so this is all new to me kinda
