Yup, cat is busted. They get so brittle over time and when your did your turbo swap it probably got manipulated around a bit and jerked on etc. and once it went throug several heating up and cooling cycles it took a crap. I'd get it welded, that would be cheapest. Sounds like this problem started earlier this week, or last weekend in your thread complaining about the HSSSSSSSSSSSS noise.

yea bro thats where the problem starting coming from. WOW . I appreiciate all the input guys , thanx so much.........
I brought it to a very trusted mechanic that is also one of my good friends dads. He told me its the cat and that he gave me 2 options..
1 - Let him take it off and get it welded then put it back on all for $250
2 - Buy a new cat and make him put it on for $250
so ether way id be spending 250. I just left it there and walked home , its like half a mile away from my house. So i guess 250 it is.
Do you guys think I shouldve did the labor and saved money or was it worth just letting him deal with it for 250
Thanx for the input!!
AND YES THATS WHAT HAPPENED LOL

Look like this?
You can get it welded back in place. Very common and thats what most people have done.

yea, but gettin it unbolted is gonna be a pita, at least from my experience...
jack your car up, unbolt it from your greddy exaust and from the turbo take it to a welder, and he shall weld that **** up...

Same thing happened to me and instead of buying a $250+ dollar cat i just went and bought a $250 ecodes test pipe. For me it was worth it, cleaned up the engine bay and made a little extra power. Just do the non fouler mod to keep the cel from coming on and your good to go! Only draw back would be when it is time for inspection, but in Missouri the inspection rules are pretty relaxed if you know what i mean
perfect reason to get a test pipe. when it comes time for inspection just dont go to DMV throw the guy at a local shop a $20 and call it a day. where you from?
