UPDATE****


just got car back. And theres something wrong. The car is spuddering when i floor it. I can pick up speed by barely touching pedal and then shifting it but if i put the pedal down it starts to choke reallllly BAD. What is this ?

I was thinking it might be the spark plugs that got flooded cause I drove like 3 miles to the shop when the cat was off. Does anyone agree?

 

How far did you drive it after you picked it up? The ECU gets a lot of info from the o2 sensors. It may take a day to clear out.

To be on the safe side, get to autozone and get it scanned for codes and post them here. It's a free service and will tell you what's wrong. Take a look around the cat and make sure everything is connected.

 

Hopefuly your 02 sensor didnt get F'd up somehow in the process of the cat getting taken out and put back in since they would have been removed. Hard to say. I dont think you would have flooded your plugs.. But it wouldnt hurt to check them to rule it out i guess.

 

checked the sparkplugs and they seem to be fine. But they do have some sort of deposits on them.... I am thinking the o2 sensor somehow got messed up. Nothing else was touched but the CAT and o2. I really hope nothing else is wrong cause it was only a broken cat but now its welded back on. Mabe the ECU needs time to redo itself. I just drove around my neighborhood for like 30 mins and nothin has changed. It just jerks really hard when i hit around 3500 rpms. Especially if i floor it. Wow this is upsetting. I just talked to him and he told me to come by his shop around 11 am and hes going to take it for a ride. So well see what happens. Thanx for sticking around and helpin me. I hope to do the same for others.

check the o2 and see if its in all the way. if so take it out and see if you can tell if any damage has occured

 

Yea , I didnt even have time to go back to the mechanic. But what I did was go to a hess gas station and pumped about $15 gas into the car. I also added STP fuel injection cleaner. After about 5 mins of driving the car returned to normal. I mustve had bad gas in my car from that sh!tty gas station that looked broken down. Now my car runs fine but with the usual boost leak that I will fix soon. =)

I know lol thank GOD! . I just so relieved I got that off my back. Just got my paycheck and it all got spent on tickets/debts. ARRRRGGGG and school starts wednesday!!
