this started yesterday morning when i was on my way home i could only hit 8-10 psi till the temp gauge hits the middle then i can hit 18 psi i thought that it was a vacuum leak so i looked but didn't find anything then i thought the turbo inlet hose had popped off (which it has done before) it was on there good and tight. i am out of ideas and i do have a vag but it is on the laptop that is being fixed right now that i hope to get back real soon. any ideas would be great

 

why are you boosting with a cold engine?

 

it not 100% cold it will not boost when the temp gauge is from the far left till it gets right in the middle the car will only boost when the car is fully warm which is not what it did 2 days ago it would boost fully when ever i wanted it too

 

oh get a extension cord and bring the pc your on right now outside and scan the code

That makes my skin cringe. Stay out of the heavy boost as much as possible until after 5 mins when the engine is warmed up.

 

im not trying to boost it full blast stright from start up!!!!

 

i need help trying to figure out why my car will not make boost till the temp gauge is the middle and sometime it won't make boost then either but it is more a problem when the temp gauge is notin the middle (not meaning completlty cold)

 

When you get your laptop back, log actual vs requested boost.

 

i got my lap top back today and i scaned no codes came up for the engine the only ones that came up where for the headlights not being adjusted (this is normal for me) and one for the central locking pump (normal also). im not to handy with the vag yet how to i do acutal boost log Vs. requested boost? i know how to scan the car and thats about it i haven't really explored all the other things yet
