Losing boost after warm up only... Please help.
I have an issue that's been driving me crazy and I can't figure it out... When I have been driving for 5 min or so and my car starts to warm up, it will lose a significant amount of boost (50% power give or take). Before that "first 5 min" it runs great and all the power is there.
It feels electronic and the boost spikes around 3K and dies off. I have been suspecting a failing n75. The mechanic that I talked to said that there usually isn't a problem with the n75 valves especially with 65,000 miles.
I have replaced the MAF. Put in a new set of oem coil packs and ngk iridium plugs I have also checked all my hoses.
What would cause the lack of power only when warm??? I am chipped BTW (Unitronic stage 1 chip) ...
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

So I think I might have figured my problem out. I noticed recently that my gauge will start to rise normally, and then fall back to cold. at the same time the oil temp rises to normal as it should. but the temp gauge is erratic... Sooooo, I think it's my damn ECT sensor. That would also explain why the car has great power when cold, but once it starts to warm up, it holds back and becomes very sluggish... It also explains why my idle after initial start up is very rough and randomly miss fires. I'm changing it tomorrow and I will let you all know how it goes... I will be so stoked if that is the problem. A $20 fix!
